I've got the flu THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone
This is carrara, Ifeel like crap right now. My whole body was aching last night. For some stange reason my ankles and top of my feet are killing me. I've never injured them or anything so go figure. I really wanted to ask my husband for a perk last night. He knew it to I'm sure, thank god he didn't offer me one or I would have taken it. He knows I don't want to start again, But he can't stand to see me in pain, or crying, It really bothers him, and hurts him. (you should have seen him when I was in labour with our son,He stayed with me the whole time, I think he needed a shot of Nubane too.
Anyway I made it through the worst of it now, just sore throat and stuffed up nose. Think I'll go have a cup of green tea it works wonders.....carrara
 
Try a hot bath also. My 2 youngest kiRAB are sick right now, and since I've taught them well, they will soon be sharing with me yet again! LOL

Dayquil also helps with the aches and pains, but if you have it handy (or can get to a store) put some Vicks Baby Vapor Bath in the tub. If you dump a few capfulls in while you draw the bath water, close the shower curtain and get it nice and steamy before you jump in to the tub. Keep the curtain closed while you bathe and the vapors really help clear your head. I guess a few good things come from having sick kiRAB.....meaning kiRAB products that you normally wouldn't have on hand.

Anyhow, I'm rarabling. Hope you get feeling better.
 
C --way to get through the URGE. That is a huge very important step. You are on the way! Isnt it great to be sick like the rest of the country! there are sooo many bugs in this country right now its scary. Bubble boy looks pretty good right now.

I just got a moment and came on the site because I wanted to see how your Dr. app. went. Ironic that you replied to me! I'm so glad your app. went ok,you must be releived.I don't know where you live, but here in Ontario, Canada there is a Dr. shortage so changing Familly Dr. is impossible, none are taking new paitiants unless you have a baby then he will take your baby. I am not going to tell mine about the hell I went through or that I wasn't taking perks "as directed" because I have to see him the rest of my life about me and my kiRAB and can't risk him dropping me.I just won't be asking for a repeat,and hope he doesn't ask about it. I don't think he would think anything of it if I said" I don't want to take the pills anymore my back feels fine now" but I'm a really bad lier,knowing me I'll burst into tears as soon as I see him,and blab the whole thing out. Oh well , I will hope for the best.
 
Hi Carrara, Sorry You're not feeling well. I'm proud of you for not falling to the temptation of pain pills. I'm kinda going through this too. The Doc. gave me a script for Vicodin but I'm afraid to fill it as I fear another addiction to deal with. I've had problems w/ this med. in the past. The pain has me down badly but I don't know what to do. Carrara & anyone suffering, please take care'

So sorry your feeling bad! I forgot to get my flu shot this season, I am catching ever bug that comes my way. What really helps me when I am sick is lots of warm tea, it works wonders. Mucinex works perfect to take way the conjestion. I sure hope you start feeling better soon, stay bundled up. Please let us know how your doing. Any questions? We are all here for you.
