I've done very poorly this semester, will I still be eligible for Financial Aid...

...next semester? I am coming to the close of my fist semester in college. Financial Aid is paying for my education and expenses. I started the semester enrolled in 12credit hours and now I am enrolled in 9credit hours since I withdrew from one of my courses that I had missed too many days in and would have failed no matter what basically (says the Prof.) Now I have another course (Philosophy) that isn't looking too bright, I failed the exams and I want to withdraw but don't know if I can since that will only leave me with 6credit hours. Granted, I am passing the other two classes with a C+ and a B, I am worried that if I drop and or fail or get an incomplete out of my philosophy class that I will get cut off of financial aid and get kicked out of college, not being able to return for winter semester. I am going to talk to an adviser tomorrow but I need a heads up of what is going to happen. I really am trying to do better but I started off horrible now I feel like I'm going to fail college and I can't let that happen! I graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA...I refuse to believe that I can not achieve this now...
