I do think 2010 is the year the Road Glide really becomes mainstream in the consciousness of many Harley fans... I think it simmered on the back burner for a number of years, then got kicked off really nicely last year with the 2010 FTLRX model which a lot of us, myself included, suddenly took notice of and jumped on! The RGU just sealed the deal with the Ultra lovers.

The first 1,000 miles and first week have been great! Dropped it off at the dealership today to get the 1,000 mile service. Might as well get some chrome added too. Let's see, I think I'll add the chrome oil cooler cover and the smoked lens/visor trim rings for the front turn signals this time. Also, the wind deflectors, and the conversion kit for the rear turn signal to brake light...

Looking at pipes but will wait until I return from my Utah ride next month.
I'm thinking about going with the Vance and Hines headers (either dresser or power duals). The slip-ons I am considering are the V&H Monster Ovals, Monster Rounds, or the Hi-Outputs. Need to decide how loud I want it. I called the factory today and got these numbers.
Hi-Output - 98-100 db
Monsters (both oval and round) - 90-92 db
All three have a very deep, throaty rumble to them.
For comparison they said the Big Shot duals are at 100-102 DB....but with much higher pitch.

I have the same bike and have 4000 miles on it so far.

I too am looking at pipes. I heard the V&H pipes at Black Hills HD in Rapid City and they sound awesome. I'm leaning toward the power duals and monster rounds. My local tuner told me that they get slightly more low end out of the power duals vs the true duals. However, I like the looks of the true dual header better. Decisions decisions.
