another university? Hey everyone,
I've recently been asked by my university to stay away from the university for a time period of 12 months for being in failed standings. The first semester of the year, I took off one semester in order to work. The second semester of the year, I did not do so hot, I discountinued one course, failed one, and deffered an exam for the other course.
I know this was a shitty thing to do. But now that I put myself in this situation, I am wondering if anyone would have tips and/or experience on the following questions.
- My gpa went from above 2.0 to below 1.5 in one semester by failing this course for a second time. Now my transcript says I can't register in any courses unless given permission.
- Not going to this specific university doesn't really bother me, what bothers me is that I'm really interested applying to another university that has the exact program i'm looking for.
- I've applied with my pre-university transcript, and now they are asking for my university transcript (which indirectly says i'm in failed standings). This would definitely eliminate all chance I have to get into this new university.
Does anyone know a way I could clear up my name with this old university. Not to reapply, but to simply ask for this condition to be removed from my transcript for me to move on to somewhere else considering my situation? And no... I ain't forging my transcript, that would be simply thowing away any chances I have to get back in University.
I was also wondering if I should explain my situation to this new university. They specifically specified that students in failed standings from other institution had to have stayed away 12 months before applying.
If anyone has some constructive advice, I would really appreciate it.
I've bee googling for weeks on this.
Thanks
