I've a Samsung D75 camera (2 yrs old). When I turn it on now I just get white...

...light on LCD screen. Ideas? The on/off button seems fine and the lens comes out as normal, but I can't get any menu to appear - just this white blank screen. Also, when I connected the camera to my computer to download the only three pictures on the memory card, at first the computer failed to recognise the device. If anyone can tell me what is causing this I'd be grateful.
