iv picked media studies for one of my options in school what do you do in media studies?

i have picked media studies for one of my options what do you do in it people say you d movie reviews etc and journalist what is it like
 
you study the media.

EG Radio, film, sitcom, quiz shows, magazines, newspapers.

I'm in year eleven now, and so far in media, I have studied:

Magazines- How they appeal to their audiences
symbolism used in imagery

Film- Genre
Action and adventure films
Film posters

Sitcom- TV sitcom
History of Sitcom
Creating your own sitcom.


It's a fun subject, but if you're interested in journalism or reporting, you'd be better off with history.
If you'd like to work as an actor, you'd be better off with drama.
And if you're interested in photography, you don't do that much of it.
