OK, I'm not asking to be judged for watching ITV2 daytime, but my excuse is I'm off work this week and the weather has been pants. So I'm kind of a creature of the night at the moment.
Anyways I've been having ITV2 on for such delights as Sally and Judge Judy, but this is almost impossible to watch because of the damn ads in between. Now, ads are supposed to be annoying, like Go Compare etc, but that's not what I'm talking about. I mean ITV2's own promos for it's own shows which they show every damn advert break, possibly twice I'm not sure. Then at the beginning and end of each break some Bingo promotion says "You never know who the next winner will be", now as if a blatantly obvious statement such as that wasn't irritating enough it's made even more irritating by the fact that you hear it at the beginning and end of each ad break.
Note to ITV2 and all other broadcasters, if you're going to have hours upon hours of schedule time sponsored by one company please ensure their adverts are suitably varied in order not to cause discomfort to the viewer. Coupled with the over playing of your own ads it makes for a very nauseous afternoon.
The answer for the viewer such as I is to stop watching, which I have since yesterday was my last weekday off for quite possibly months.
But I just thought I'd see if anyone else agrees.
