I'm new to Itunes. Recently got a Iphone....I synced up some music to my Iphone. I made a playlist to add the the Iphone...added it fine....i then deleted the play list from Itunes and the next time I connected my IPHONE to ITUNES the play list was also removed from my IPHONE. How do I stop this from happening every time?
so basically, anything I want to keep on the Iphone i have to keep on my playlist...that is stupid....ITUNES SUCKS!

If you delete the playlist from iTunes and put new songs on there instead, iTunes will completely replace your iPhone playlist.

Solution : Don't delete songs from your iTunes playlist.

Don't sync your iPhone to iTunes, because when you delete any music from iTunes, the next time you hook up your iPhone, it'll automatically update with the changes.

Don't sync them; manually add your music. When you open iTunes, click on your iPod/iPhone name on the left side of the screen. That'll bring up a window with music, video, and other tabs at the top. Under music, find the section that says 'manually manage music,' select that one, and save the settings. =]

Edit - not at all! As long as you DO NOT SYNC your itunes with your iphone, you can delete anything you want from your playlist. Just find the manually manage music option.
