Itunes Pre-order ... does it download as soon as it turns over midnight?

I am doing an assignment tonight ... which is due tomorrow ... and I am staying up late to work on it. Will I be able to download an album that is due to release tomorrow (the 21st) after midnight (i.e. technically the 21st)??
