I've started to use iTunes to burn my audio CD's instead if windows media player because it's easier and includes cd text which windows media player doesn't. I saved all my audio files as waves because .wav's can play on anything. however, whenever i burned a cd using itunes the cd played in everything except my car stereo and when i burned THE EXACT SAME FILE (i did nothing to it) with windows media player the song played fine in my car. i did some research and found out that burn SPEED, not just the file type, matters as well, and that between 20x-24x was usually a safe speed for "picky car stereos." I tried this and the cd played fine in my car. i was happy for a while, however, all of this was burned with my laptop, and when i started burning with my desktop, things went crazy again. i had the same itunes problem (windows media player kept working as usual) and i tried burning the speed as 20x and 24x and for some reason it wouldn't play in my car. i tried every single other speed, faster and slower, and it wouldn't play. i just don't know what's going on. both versions of itunes are the same on both machines, but the one on my laptop is a 64 bit version because i have windows 7 and the one on my desktop is a 32 bit version because on that i have windows xp. also, the burner on my laptop is a cd-dvd burner and player while the one on my desktop is strictly a cd player and burner, if that helps anyone. can someone please help me?
