I want to make an itsy bitsy light tent for some macro.
I think I will use one of those folding food cover things like an upside down umbrella with 4 spokes and netting over it.
I would cut a hole in the side of it for access.
What would be a suitable fabric to put over it to allow enough light through ??

I use White "rip stop" nylon, just be sure to keep your lights far enough away so it doesnt catch fire, or, if you use a flash your ok to put them withing an inch or two. I use this for all my difusion, it works great.. I usually double it up. if youre using it for inside work, a cardboard box, prefferably white inside, will be awesome. just cut a hole on each side for the lights and tape a piece of tracing paper or white Vellum over the hole and its diffused perfectly. I think you can buy white cardboard at Staples and any good craft store like Michaels. I use White foam core. http://www.flickr.com/photos/brokenfence/290070684/in/set-72157601351542787/

Great idea just make sure it can handle the heat from the light bulb or use florescent.
Don't burn up the lovely artist.;)
