immigration lawyer. But no results yet? Our immigration lawyer told us that it depends which officer is handling that sponsorhips. The only thing is that everytime we renew my mom visa we need to pay 400 to 500 each time..Now, since we are just keep paying and then theres no results for 5 yrs. Our friends advises us to let my mom go home in the Philippines and just apply on ur own.. My mom is 65 yrs. old....Please advise

IR-1 from the Philippines has a 16 year wait. Right now they are processing petitions filed January 1, 1994. It makes no difference which officer is handling the case.

Your mother will be 76 years old by the time she's eligible for the visa. Check the monthly Visa Bulletin to track it...

you wasted your money trying to gain a visa . the only way for this to happen is mommy needs to go back to the philippines before she is captured , when shes back there then hire a immigration lawyer who will be able to help you in obtaining the proper visa.
