Just wondered. I've been wanting to see it for years now & never seem to find it on the tv schedule over Christmas.

Was thinking it may be on the new Sky Christmas channel but having looked at it today....it's Star Trek movies all day

No, unfortuantely 'It's a Wonderful Life' isn't scheduled on any channel at all this Christmas, this being the 6th year running

I can't believe no channels have picked up this film yet for screening after all this time. A screening on terrestrial TV is long overdue.

Alternately, put 'It's A Wonderful Life' into Google, click 'Videos' at the top, and you can watch it on there for free :) I think I will later on, as I've never seen it before either!

Thanks folks :)

Cant believe it's not been on for 6 years, maybe they just try to cash in on the dvd release...every year!

Might look into google as I have a PS3 so could watch it on my big telly :D

Better still , buy it on Bluray and see it in high definition for the first time since it appeared in cinemas more than 60 years ago

We watched a print of the film (which is High Def obviously, infact it's higher quality than HD) on my Film Studies course last year at Uni :p

Yes , you can't beat a film print itself .
However , for the new Blu and dvd the film has undergone extensive restoration so it should look better than any film print has ever done with regard to marks and scratches and dust etc so the Blu is an absolute treat too although avoid the UK one as the B&W and colour versions are squeezed onto one disc while the US one gives them a disc each
