Baby Isaac was born Feb, 2 2007 at 3pm via emergency C-section. He wasn't breathing and he had a very low pulse. Apparently, baby Isaac had a BM in-utero as long as a week before he was born. He had aspirated a lot of that.. crap and he is very sick. He has spent all of his time intubated and sedated in neonatal ICU with a poor prognosis. In the last 6 hours, things have taken a turn for the worse. His heart hasn't been doing well, and since it hasn't gotten better, he is now on a complete heart-lung bypass.

As some of you might remember, Charlotte had a miscarriage about a year ago. She was inconsolabe about that and things were difficult with us. I have no idea what is going to happen if this one doesn't make it either. Especially after carrying our son for 9 and a half months and meeting and naming the baby.

I am really looking forward to bringing home my son someday and being a dad. But, right now I'm really worried about what would happen to my girlfriend's state-of-mind should that not ever come to pass.

Happy, I'm very sorry to hear this. I was really wishing you the best with everything after the first miscarriage. I know how hard that was on both of you.

I hope he makes it through, I really do.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your girlfriend and the baby, HN.

I feel for you, and know what your going through; I had 7 miscarriages before. I trully feel for you and hope your son makes it through. I will light an incense in his honor.

Okay, time for some updates. Baby Isaac was taken off the heart-lung bypass machine a while ago. His heart started again with no problems and it's working the way it should be, now that it got some rest. He was extubated a few days ago and he's breathing on his own. He still gets some supplemental oxygen via the little nostril tubes but, the breathing thing is all him. Now it's just the task of weaning little Isaac off of the good drugs he's been getting since he was born and teaching him to eat. We should get to take him home in another week or two.

My thanks to everybody that offered their support and faith.
