iTouch 4.2.1 jailbreak greenp0ison help!?

My friend has an iPod touch 3rd generation and his iPod seemed jailbroken. The skull comes up on boot but there is no loader. His ipod is synced with a mac at his house and we were using windows, does that affect it?
