ITCHY VAGINA on menstrual cycle?

Okay, I got my period yesterday and it's been a little itchy, like on the inside, not on the outside of my vagina. This has never happened to me before. I don't think it's a yeast infection because there isn't an odor or any white residue. No burning or anything like that so I don't think it's a STD.

This is happening during my menstrual cycle.

What could this be? What should I do?

BTW, I have a pelvic exam next week.
