Itchy Throat

For the last couple of weeks I have had an itchy throat and when I swallow it feels like there is something there. I sometimes have an itchy ear with it too. My throat also feels sore sometimes aswell. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this. Could it be a stress thing. I have had quite a bit lately.

Could be strep throat. It's going around. If so, you need to get it treated because it can cause heart or kidney problems and even death in extreme instances.

also sounds like it could be seasonal allergies -- especially since you describe your symptoms as "itchy." try something like claritin or zyrtec.

I have the itchy ears and throat at night, along with itchy eyes. My day time allergy symptoms are watery eyes, runny nose, stuffy nose, and sneezing. Allergies are so fun. I alternate every couple of months between Zyrtec, Claritin, and Clarinex. I also take Singulair for my asthma, but it's becoming more popular as an allergy medicine.
