itchy spots on arms & legs

I have itchy spots on my arms & legs and have consulted dermatologists and allergists to no avail. I have tried many forms of cortizone ointments, hypoallergenic soaps, shampoos and body creams and I am no better off. Tried prednasone for 2 weeks and things cleared, but when I stopped it all came back.
 
Did you have food allergy testing? Using sensitive skin poroducts - laundry detergent, etc?
 
I have had food allergy tests and will be going for patch testing at the end of the month. Use all hypo allergenic creams/lotions and detergents
