Are you taking anything for your back pain? Maybe you're having a side effect from pain meRAB. Or maybe your eyes are more dry with the winter weather or a different side effect of meRAB. Have you tried eye drops?
I used to use cheap saline solution for my contacts. Very suddenly, after my back surgery, I started having very itchy eyes. I don't have any idea if it's related to my back. I doubt it. But I switched to the more expensive saline for sensitive eyes and the itching was resolved.
Maybe someone else has had your experience and will chime in.
Hope you find a solution. Persistent itching can be so annoying and distracting!
