Itching

All of a sudden my daughter who is six started scratching for no reason all over her body. There is no redness, bumps, rashes or hives. I gave her cortizone and benedryl but she is still itching ans scratching. What should I do?

Have you recently changed laundry detergent or clothes softener? Sometimes itching is a sign of something going on with the liver but that would be the worst thing and she might have other symptoms with that. She could be having signs of anxiety. I would imagine this itching may get worse if she hears you talking about it and worrying. I would take her to the pediatrician if you can not find the source of this reaction. Sincerely, searchin
