Itching all over without a rash

can this be a side effect of a drug withdrawl and if so can you tell me possably what drug and how long it might last?
 
Opiates often make you itch. But I wouldn't necessarily say during withdrawl but during use. Meth is known for this too. An antihistamine might help.

Thank you so much - this is my son who is itching and I am trying as best as I can to help him kick his habit I kicked mine 23years 7 months 16 days and 4 hours ago ( aug 3 1976 at 6am) and I take it one hour one dayat a time. But he I think has went harder than I did and the stuff out there today is alot different than it was then. But thank you again.
 
first of all,a big congrats to you on that long time of sobriety. i am just wondering what it actually is that your son is WDing from? does he drink any alcohol? if so,just how much is he or was he consuming like per day? just knowing what he was on or WDing from would help tons in giving you the best possible advice. certain drugs/alcohol can just cause organ function issues. It's wonderful to hear of your lengthy sobriety. When I was into the Vicodin, I would itch so bad that I would scratch until I bled but it passed. Tell your son to hang in there & as long as he doesn't continue to use he will get through this ! Mike
 
He does drink beer yes and can probably can put down a 12 pk in a few hours. As for the other weed I know, perc10 I know, I have heard heroin a few times and Coke, xanies, colodapin and a sythetic that is used for herior addicts to help them get straight, the name I don't know. Hope this helps
