Italian Marble Table...?

So I was given and round italian marble coffee table, on the under side of the top piece there is a red circular marking with another red circle inside or it, it looks as if someone accidently rubbed part of it off, as I tested to see that the stamp is water soluble, from what I can make out it says _____ marble and _____ Italy, possibly milan? The wood stand that it sits on has two stickers on it that read made in italy.

Does anyone know anything about italian marble? or this particular stamping
