I have impacted teeth that are grew in the horizontal position. Since they are not going to break threw the gums I have to have them cut out. I have been dodging this for a couple of years now, I got lucky and pcs'ed out of my last duty station before they made me get it done.

I know I will have to face the music soon, I am just dreading the experience. From what i'm told, I will be getting oral surgery more or less and they will put me out for the entire experience. I am glad, I am a huge army pussy and I couldn't take it in a conscious state.
 
UPDATE!!!

So I didn't get dry sockets and my mouth doesn't really hurt anymore. It hurts sometimes if I don't wear my nightguard when I sleep, but that's normal. Now I have this great hole that food gets stuck in and I have a sarynge to get the food out. It's really neat to see it closing up. The stiches fell out with minimal discomfort and the other three sockets are healed over so they just feel like little dips in the gums. I kept my teeth and they look cool. I like to show them off. After the first couple of day of discomfort and pain, it wasn't so bad. I wouldn't do it again, but now that it's all done it's not so bad anymore. :tongue:
