If you use IMDB like I do, it is easy to see that few films from each year ever make the grade into the top 50 slots.
It must be a difficult industry knowing that such a well known database exists that is based on user comments and ratings without much influence from real critics.
I always use it as a guide only......because sometimes I absolutely disagree with some ratings and wonder why the ratings can be low or high for a particular film.
But regardless of our own personal opinion, I'm pretty sure that filmmakers are aware of this website and its overall influence on viewers.
