it is feb and i am dying to go fishing for bass?

will it be warm enough the temps are suppose to be staying in the high 50's and the low 60's during the day i am dying to try out my new pole i got for christmas i got me a baitcaster lol and i am dying to use it would it be good to go fishing sometime next week? this weekend is suppose to be 74 on friday but that is when my gf is having our new born baby girl...so i cant go friday and i found this fish in my tackle box like i had no idea where it came from idk if its salt water or fresh will the bass bite this here is a picture of it http://tinypic.com/r/9qwos0/7
