IT degree through correspondence?

Hi all,
I currently live in a small town earning a decent wage for IT work.
I would like to start a University degree, but do not want to quit my work.
I had previously attended Edith Cowan University for one semester, for the Bachelor of Computer Technology (which is not available by correspondence) but was offered a job so I deferred.
I've considered correspondence courses through a few Universities - and was wondering if anyone had any experiences/recommendations.
I have two formal qualifications at TAFE; which allowed me to get into Edith Cowan without a mature age entry etc.
I'd be mainly interested in a Computer Science degree particularly networking/microcontrollers/programming, not a business stream.
Any suggestions?
Forgot to mention, I have been employed in IT full-time since 16. I'm 25 now.
I'd say the references etc from my previous workplace could fill in any blanks in this area.
You don't have to mention that you earned your degree via correspondence, as you have completed the degree regardless (in my position anyway).
