Issues with the Schwinn 202 Recumbent exercise bike.?

My parents have owned one of these contraptions for about 2.5 years now and used it rarely.
Recently my father attempted to use it but the computer did not start up thereby preventing full usage.
I have called several places but nobody can seem to give me a straight answer.
If anybody here knows or can find something to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
