Issue with tmobile.com password (solution)

Just a tip in case anyone encounters this issue. I was trying to use the "forgot password" link, which sends the password via SMS to your phone. This was to help a friend who had forgotten her password. Neither of us were able to receive the SMS. I called T-Mobile, and they tried from their end too but no dice. However, other texts were coming in just fine.

Today, while troubleshooting with one of their engineers, we discovered the problem: The "forgot password" link sends a text message but as an email to your tmomail.net address, which then gets delivered as a text message. So if you have email based text messages blocked for spam reduction, as we both did, it will not get delivered. They went into the account and unblocked this and I was able to get the text with my password.

Just wanted to pass along the info in case anyone else goes through this.
 
Yeah, I had heard of people having such long delays. But after several days of no texts, I knew something else was going on! Once they unblocked the text-via-email, it came right away though.
