Notice how this story is coming out right before the election, and notice how it is Clarence Thomas's "White" wife who is asking the "Black" person to now apologize. You can't not overlook the dog whistle coded language for bigoted, White voters with this story. Clarence Thomas's wife is using a dog whistle to remind all the bigots in the right wing to vote in 2 weeks by mentioning how "blacks" should be apologizing to them. It is so symbolic and a very subtle move. Like trying to remind them of what Sonia Sotomayor said with his wise Latina statement...Obama and Acorn....The New Black Panthers....Shirley Sherrod.
This is coded bigotry to the right wing bigots to remind them to come out and vote so we don't have those "Black" people like Obama taking over our country and getting rid of our White, Christian values.
There is no other reason this story would come out now, and no reason why Thomas' wife (who is White) would be the one complaining. It is pure race-baiting.
