The reason for that is their government deregulated trade in the 50s and America is where the jobs moved, so many eurpeans tend to put the blame on America instead of their own government, kind of like right-wingers that keep trying t blame immigrants and liberals while some people blame the chinese for the affect of right-wing trade deregulation policy for high unemployment and a decaying economy.
