'petitioning the Lord with prayer'? Lets say I really really really want that job or relationship or cure or whatever -ANYTHING which might enable me to nudge it in my direction (cost free)it MUST be worth a try yeah? THIS is exactly why people pray to a supernatural entity because MAYBE just MAYBE he can supply the job / relationship / cure etc... -And hey, if if doesn't he can console you too. What's not to like?
