iSkoot has a beta version of its (offically supported) skype app available for download.

Afaik, the service dials out a number to make outgoing calls to skype contacts (a good thing if you want to make long distance calls) and can forward all incoming calls to your cell phone to the skype id (good if you're in a place with wi-fi connection but no cell coverage).

The only problem is that I can't test it since I'm in India currently and India is not in their list of supported countries.

Has anyone tried the app yet? And does it work well? Is anyone willing to try it out???

This is availabe for long time now. I used it when I had E61 few months ago & it worked well.

Can iskoot to forward calls from your cell phone number to skype when you don't have coverage? I mean no gsm coverage, but you are accessing skype thru wi-fi.

I don't think it works with wifi.
