Simple question really....is your health history covered in the idea of right of privacy?

If so, then how can we justify the government being in charge or even involved in healthcare as it would be unconstitutional for them to have unfettered access to our health history?
Honest....exactly my point. How would we feel if health histories were exosed for political gain like Joe's tax records were?
Mark, So let me understand your point...if we have a system that allows us to volunteer the our history to one specfic private entity that they can not share with others, then this equates to the government having access without consent? WOW! If my point in meaningless, your logic is outright scary
RCCC,.....and for some odd reason people believe liberals are more educated and intellegent.
RCCC: How has this public and media scrutiny that you mention dealt with the social security solvency? How about medicare and medicaid being in the red? In fact tell me what governmental systems have been fixed due to this scrutiny. All I have seen is people lossing their jobs when something comes out....but nothing is done to actually fix what was broken.
