Is Wikipedia a good site to reference when arguing a point?

Wikipedia, the site with a wealth of information on everything. The only problem is that information could come from anyone. If I was to argue a point and use information gathered from Wikipedia as proof or evidence in favor of my argument, would it be considered a valid and acceptable source?
