...problem not under warranty? Went in before hand to service, they told me to have it towed in and is probably a defective computer, which had problems in this year and is covered to 80K miles otherwise it would probably be covered by my platinum extended warranty which goes up to 75K miles and covers just about everything and they would pay for the towing. Now they say it’s not the computer, but something wrong with the key and that it’s not covered under the warranty. When you turn the key the starter operates but it acts like it’s not getting any fuel.
How could it be a key problem if the starter is turning?
Does this sound right?
What does that transponder in the key do and what would happen if it was malfunctioning?
