Heisman Trophy finalist in 1998, He also set a number of national high school records — most pass completions, passing yardage, touchdown passes.and passing percentage for a season. ESPN ranked Couch as the #6 of the best high school athletes ever.
He set the Browns all-time leader in pass completion percentage at 59.8%. He also ranks 7th all-time in touchdown passes (64), 6th in QB rating (75.1), 4th in passing attempts (1,741), 3rd in completions (1,025), 5th in passing yards (11,131). Couch still holds the franchise single-game record for pass completions (36 vs. Tennessee in 2002) and several rookie single-season passing records including pass attempts (399), pass completions (223), passing yards (2,447), touchdowns (15), and QB rating (73.2). He was the Browns' leading passer from 1999-2002.
Come what do you think

no, its charlie connerly or sammy baugh. People dont respect them as much because there older

im a browns fan...he took us to the playoffs but kelly holcomb competed with the spot so no one likes job insecurity in the middle of the season, and well injuries screwed him over..he was a decent QB on a crappy team and had a bad coach in butch davis

I had forgotten him. His biggest rival was Chris Redman who was drafted by the Ravens. Both were damaged by the lack of protection afforded by their O lines, but Redman's back in the NFL after rehabbing back damage and a torn labrum and where is Couch now?
No heart at all, so to answer your question, he was definitely not the most underrated quarterback in history.

I think he gets called the biggest bust ever and it is undeserved. He was a good QB that took an expansion team to the playoffs in his second season, until his career was derailed by injury.
