Is this worth going to court over?

Today I got a ticket for running a 4-way stop in a 30 mph speed zone in a very small town with little traffic. At first I was dumbfounded on how I could have missed such an important thing like that, so afterwords I went back to the intersection to see why I did not notice it. (thankfully the officer who pulled me over did not take my license) I found that the stop sign was positioned just perfectly behind a street light so that the street light blocked my view of the stop sign. At the time I ran it, there were no other cars stopped at the intersection. I am in the first year of having my license and do not want a moving violation on my record so early. I have driven through that intersection before, but with a parent and during much buisier times. Should I just plead guilty and pay the $75 fine or do you think I could win in court?

Also: the stop sign was not competely obscured, just enough so that the letters were not visible from the perspective of the driver and the street light was a good yard or two away from the stop sign.
I have review the laws regarding street sign visibility in my state and have found that if the street sign is not visible, I will not be guilty of disobeying it.
