A wistful wind is blown

There's nothing to condone
And nothing to deny

They part from what's been known
With words in short supply

The heart is like a stone
And sorrow hovers nigh

Withholding plaintive moan,
Regret should not apply

No stronger bond is sewn
On which they can rely

I have never written one of these. I admire you so much for taking a subject and turning it into a beautiful sentimental poem. I can't wait till I have more free time, you make me want to write.
