Is This Unusual At A Restaurant?

I saw 2 women in their mid 40's having dinner and after it was done, they went up to the waitress to request crayons, and coloring sheets and started coloring on the restaurant table for a long time. Is this normal, and what do you make of this? Is this common?

No. They did NOT have children with them.
Borderline what?

Maybe they were borderline.

Edit: Borderline personality disorder - it's kind of an inside joke. Worked around a few borderlines before and they tend to have these "childish" behaviors - like collecting dolls, coloring, etc. I was being somewhat sarcastic - I don't really know what was going on with these women. Maybe they were Architects and were brainstorming ideas with each other.
