Ok, I applied for a few payday loans awhile back, but never actually got one. I never signed any agreement or whatever. Today I get 12 messages on my answeing maching from some guy in california (i live in vermont). He told me that I now have a lawsuit against me because I took out a payday loan, and never paid it, but i never had a payday loan!! Then he said I am going to be supenad (sp?) into court, a court in california, and if i dont show up i will be arrested. I dont get it? How can i have charges for a loan I never even had, or signed for? How can they make me go to court in california, when i live in vermont. Finally, since I am pretty sure this is some sort of scam or something, who should I call to report these jerks? I live in Vermont thanks
I did ask for proof, and the guy said "you'll get your copies in court", and i know i didnt have a payday loan, i did apply for a few, but never was apporved, or went through with it..but they keep calling like every 15 mins, is there anyone i can call to report them? to make this stop?
