Is this the correct form of an epic poem?

This is the beggining of my english poem so I wanted to know if it was in the correct form of iambic pentameter.

At the early first break of a ruby dawn,
Round Table’s knights are suited with their swords drawn,

As the courageous men dashed upon their noble steeds,
They held their pennants high as they rode at a swift speed,

Thinking to ladies’ affections; their hearts forlorn,
For that is last embrace of love thoughts unsworn,

Turning to parry joust to finish the villain to cause sorrow,
Code valor of foremost and theory chivalry one cannot borrow
