Is this the best Christmas day altercation or what?

I caught my husband texting my cousin at my mother's house on Christmas. When I discovered them they were sitting on the couch together with other family members in the room and I did not know it. I went to his truck pulled out a bat and came back in the house. I pointed the bat at him and told him he better leave and beat me back to the house. I pointed the bat at her and told her to stop texting him (though her dumb self denied it) and then I read everything aloud to the other family members as her husband came into the room. She had no idea he had arrived. The text were very provocative. Anyway, back at home since Christmas my husband has apologized and have made attempts to reconcile. We have never been through anything like this. I have not said anything because I am debating what to do as time permits. We are separated in our own home . What do I do? (Because of serious situation, serious answers only! )
