Hi I have a Park Ave 2000.
Its runs fine - had regular oil changes and filter changes.
But it sometimes gets scary :
-- Whenever I am on an uphill, It does not pickup power so much in fact RPM will come < 2 ( the meter has range like 1-3 ) so I have to gently step on the gas and let it climb at whatever speed it can manage. In that case I gotto opt for the right lane and see all other vehicles go past.

---On certain situations ( I think any kind of gentle uphill ) the car tends to be jerky. The jerks are suble not very obvious.

What does this mean. Is this concerning for long trips or it more of my perception or its expected to old cars or something is seriously wrong .
Can someone please gimme an idea
Well the information panel shows all normal. If the trans fluid is low is that something not shown by the information panel

try using regular drive going up hills instead of overdrive. you will have poor pick-up when it,s in overdrive. my oldsmobile does the same until i drop it down in reg. drive.

Your car isn't old, however do have an engine diagnostic done by a dealer to see what the problem is. Guess work on Yahoo won't solve this.
