Chapter 1. The Accident.

My three friends and I were just having driving around and having some fun. It was my friends Erin, Mady, and Gina and me. School got out the day before and we were starting out the best summer ever. We thought.
After driving around for a while, I decided to have some fun. We were in the country and no cars were around so I hit the gas. We got to fifty miles per hour, then sixty, and then seventy. Adrenaline rushed. I decided to stop but I couldn’t. The accelerator was stuck. The road ended ahead and went into a forest. I prayed to God and then blacked out.
I woke up in the car to flashing red lights, sobs, and many people talking. I looked out the window and saw Erin and Mady walking outside the car. I sighed of relief. Then, I got a really bad headache and was in so much pain. I looked over to see Gina in the passenger seat in even worse pain. I started to bawl. This was my fault, I thought, I cause all our parents pain, Gina pain, myself pain. At least no one died.
One ambulance took Gina and me to the hospital. The other took Mady and Erin. The ride seemed like forever and Gina was crying the whole time. Guilt was taking over me like all the doctors in the ambulance. They were all over Gina and me.
When we got there they did many test. Some doctors took me to my room, but on the way there I saw Mady and Erin walk by and glared at me. I wondered why they were mad. They didn’t get hurt.
I got to the hospital room. It was plain white and cold. There were three chairs. Two were by a huge widow. The other was in a corner. A tiny TV was on the wall. The room seemed so blank.
Then two doctors came in. They were both women. They looked very sad. I could tell something was wrong.
The tall, blonde doctor started, “I’m Dr. Reiner and we have good news and bad news. I start with good news. You only suffer a minor concussion. And will be going home in two days.”
“That’s good, I guess.” I mumbled
Then the other doctor, who was short with short brunette hair walked over and said “ I’m Dr. Moon. Bad news now, I’m so sorry but your friends Erin and Mady were killed.”
My heart sunk. I couldn’t say anything. I saw them walking. They weren’t killed. They couldn’t be.
I chocked out “I saw them walking when I woke up and they were walking outside my room. They aren’t dead”
She said, “They died as soon as the car crashed. It must have been from when you hit your head, sweetie.”
This wasn’t really. I had killed two of my friends. But one thing I knew was I really saw them. It wasn’t my head.
