is this speech a story telling speech?

One moment. Amazing, dare I say monumental. A truer you. A more passionate, more thoughtful, more mindful, motivated, spontaneous, rebellious, and spirited you. It truly only takes a moment for this to kick in. Many tell you self change takes time. It really doesn’t, a simple “Have you seen your best friend?” message is really all you need. That moment is all it takes for you to stop attending school, for you to drive to another state, plaster things on walls, to drive in the flooding rain, to go one hundred and thirteen miles an hour and never once consider the potential risks.

It’s also truly incredible how fast that all can go away. How the one day you laugh harder than you have for months, can have you crying hysterically by the end. How you can sit in class for a month and honestly not retain a single piece of information. How all of a sudden the world can not only decide they know you, but choose to actively empathize. They not only know what you are going through but can tell their own variation of the same sob story to make you feel like they have it worse. How badly you can want out but never want to leave at the same time. How every memory you want to run from keep you getting up from bed every morning. How similar people look, and sound, but how very different they act. How the second someone leaves you they can take over your mind. You idolize them and forget that they too had flaws.

The most amazing part of a moment in my opinion is the moment of a fresh start. How you can yearn for it deep within you, and once it is upon you, you have no where to go. The magic of that moment when you realize that not only do people have no idea of your past, but have no interest in hearing it. How the unmotivated best friend of so and so can be replaced with whoever you want it to be. How everything you thought possible could instantly be at your fingertips.

Funny how moments can shape years. How a sleepless night can make all the difference in your mentality. How one instance can make you consider who you truly are, and if what you are doing could possibly be worth it. Funny how you pick up on little nuances of speech, and body language and realize commonplace discussion can make people feel so uncomfortable they actually need to leave.

The best part about moments like these is that there are plenty more.
