I have a goldfish bowl with a male and female beta in it. I have a small one to two gallon tank with a black moore in it. In my goldfish bowl with the betas there is two peace lilly plants, a fake plant, A small water cave they go in, Small pebbles, Flat marbles, And star shaped marbles. They dont have a filter or a pump. The black moores tank has a pump but not a filter, a small cliff (not a cave), a peace lilly plant, and flat marbles. They are housed at around 70 degrees. My male betta seems very happy. My female betta normally stays in a little crevise under the cave. The male made a bubble nest but nothing happened. I change their water once a week takeing about 1/3 of the water out.I let the water i put into the tank set out over close to a 24 hour period.I feed the once or every other day.

Is my female betta scared? Is their living conditions ok? Do i feed them fine? I also have a five gallon tank what tipe of fresh water fish can i put in it? What do peace lillys do for the fish?

Female and male bettas shouldnt really be housed together unless they are for breeding. My guess is that the male has scared the female and I is staying hidden out of its way. As for the black moor, it should be in a 30 gallon aquarium, and goldfish MUST have a filter, as they are one of the messiest fish.
