i bought this plant that has large fans with very spread out fingers, spines on the long parts and a dark burlap looking material around the trunk. there is about five small plants in the pot each about 4 feet tall and no trunk .I special ordered it into a very distinguished plant store and they assured me that it was what i was looking for. he told me it was a trachycarpus fortunei like i had told him but the little tag in the dirt that came with it said that it was a chinese fan palm.... what do u think?
is this plant a windmill palm?
