Is this pain normal after a long bike ride?

I worked out today, and then later I went for an hour and a half bike ride for fun. 7 hours later, I have a dull soreness in one of my quads when I walk, and above my knee when I sit down. It seems to disappear when I get in a hot shower.

It seems like fatigue.
I would avoid working out tomorrow, but maybe stretching it a little after a long walk (you don't want to stretch cold muscles). If the pain persists or gets worse I would see a doctor.

yes, especially since you worked out before. your muscles are just sore, it will go away in a couple days. the reason why it feels better in a hot shower is because the steam and the hot water relaxes your muscles.

if it hurts really bad, you can try icy hot?

Yes it's normal - you're just feeling the burn from a work out. The pain is a build up of lactic acid which is released during exercise and causes that pain in your muscles. It should be fine in a day or so xx
