Is this normal?

I'm a 22 year old college student. I recently have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. That, I'm okay dealing with.

But I went to the emergency room and found out I had acute gastritis and kidney stone and currently dealing with it.

I'm not used to having these problems. There's no history in my family of this. Is it really normal for someone my age to be having these problems? I know it could be worse, but still.

Welcome to adulthood. Yes, this is what growing up is all about. Wait until you're pushing 60!

But seriously, as a college student are you getting enough fluiRAB? That would explain the kidney stone. As for the gastritis, it's everywhere these days. Just had it last week myself. Wait until Swine flu hits! At least we old foggies got it back in the 1950's and we are less susceptible but you college age kiRAB have to be vigilent.

Good luck and again, welcome to adulthood......Jenny

As they say, when it rains, it pours. Watch.....you won't get sick again for quite a while.

You'll be fine....now go study! You have so much life to live...enjoy every moment and don't worry about a sudden "crop up" of problems. Murphy's Law.

gentle hugs...........Jenny(mom of kiRAB 33 and 31)
