Is this normal?

I am so happy to be clean for almost a whole month now...woohoo!
My question is this. I seem to have gained about 5 lbs. I am a small person, so 5 lbs makes a noticeable difference on me (none of my pants fit!).
No matter what, that 5 lbs won't budge. Is it normal to gain a bit of weight? My eating habits are the same as when I was on the hydro.
Or, does hydro make you lose weight and now that I am off it, I am gaining?

Hey!

I have no idea if it's normal but it happened to me right away! When I was on the pain meRAB, my appetite was very little... so I ate hardly anything.... I always thought to myself "this is the best diet plan EVER"

However, being clean is so worth the few lbs..... It took me a while (I gained like 15 total) and now I have it all off again. It just took a couple of months.

Hang in there! CONGRATS! I am so proud of you.

I find I'm eating more, but it's not because of a natural, normal kind of hunger. It's more of a raging need to consume something, anything. Over the past month I haven't gained weight because I'm sticking to a high protein-low carb regimen, eating nuts and seeRAB mixed with dried fruit like cranberries, or blueberries tossed in.

Also, I seem to want to eat sweeter fooRAB, so the dried fruit helps with that, but I'm also buying gallons of sugar-free, fat-free ice cream. If you can call it that. LOL

I could only wish I gain 5 pounRAB!! I put on 15 pounRAB within 2 months after getting off of the oxy and it has stayed on. I eat less than my wife, gave up drinking beer and I can't seem to lose any weight. I walk, hike and stay active and the weight stays on. I can't really go to the gym like I would in the past, because of my lingering injury and the possibility of re-injuring it. I would love to get back on to the racket ball court and lose about 500 calories a night, but in reality I can't. I don't know about hydro, but when I was on the oxycodone there was times that I would sit at the dinner table and watch my family eat and I just didn't want to. So, I lost weight. Once I was off of it, I started eating normally again and poof! I put the weight back on. The only thing I would suggest is to do more aerobic activities and cut back on your calorie intake. You might be eating more now and not realizing it.
